Learning through exposure is very much a part of our philosophy. The children visit a few important and interesting institutions as a part of our program. In addition, we have also organized visits for all our past and present students to Golden Katar – Indian Army, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, The Times of India Printing Press, Science City, Centre for Environment Education, Divya Bhaskar Printing Press Fire Station, etc..
This year we created a special platform for parents and children to explore and learn about the old city of Ahmedabad. About 100 children and parents participated very enthusiastically. Some parents said – “We have been living in the city for over 30 years, always heard about the Heritage Walk. Never thought it would be such a great experience to learn and enjoy from. Thanks to Poiesis’ initiative, we could see this part of the city.” “Looking at the busiest street of Ahmedabad on a Sunday morning with a different perspective was a great experience.” For visual pleasure,

In 3 years, 570 children have benefited from our programs. The mix has been very heterogeneous and the children have come from as many as 60 schools.
At the end of every program, children prepare a newsletter called P-Times. It is a compilation of their learning, thoughts and first hand experiences along with the pictures showing them in action. P-Times is to provide an overview of the program to the children and parents, apart from creating pleasant memories.
